As a part of Fleur's launch party (which I will be posting about soon!) I wanted to create and serve cocktails. Whenever I am entertaining for more than a few people I like to have a cocktail/drink prepared for when guests arrive. It's a little extra work in preparation but makes things far more simple and allows for less work once the dinner party begins. It can be as simple as having a tray of bubbly poured, or going to great lengths of researching, trying and mixing some fancy cocktails. I'm fortunate to have a brother in law who bar tends and feels pretty passionate about experimenting and creating cocktails so when I asked him to come up with some cocktails for the launch party he nailed it. This is one of the first drinks he concocted and mixed for me as we were deciding on the menu. Just in time for summer! Having a few of these mixed and ready to serve at a bbq or backyard party would be perfect.
- 1 oz. Grey Goose Pear Vodka
- 1 oz. St. Germaine
- .5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice (A little extra to taste is nice too)
- 4 oz. Water/Soda Water
- Cucumber for garnish
Shake ingredients with ice and pour into a glass. Line glass with a long strip of cucumber and serve. Cheers!
