Pursuit

Pursuit

As I type this I’m sitting on the floor in my living room, a candle lit, palo santo burning, and the sun hot on my back. My intention was to go to the cafe this morning and write. To be around the energy of those stopping, meeting, connecting, rushing. But, when the sun is streaming through the front window, and you can see the sunbeams, you sit and stay in it.

Portland

Portland

There's so much catching up to do since our last post!  This week alone has equaled traveling through/to 2 provinces and 4 states.  That's a whole lotta miles that we've put on,  more roadside bathrooms than I ever care to admit to, listened to some really amazing podcasts, taken in the most beautiful country side, and made it back home feeling full/exhausted/inspired/excited/blessed/happy/ready to be back to our life here at home - all the feels.

Drumheller // Weekend Playlist

Drumheller // Weekend Playlist

Last weekend we adventured to Drumheller Alberta.  It's a stunning part of the world. Adventures + photos is my kind of day.  Plus its a nice little day trip and I don't know about anyone else but long drives are when James and I have the most life-giving convo.  We often end up turning the podcast off or the music way down because we get into such great conversation.  Re-connection.  It's where a lot of sparks fly for idea, thoughts, change, growth, learning etc.  Dinner and road-trips are where the magic happens.  (Which for some reason makes me think of the Seinfeld episode where George has a phone conversation with a new girl and talks about how great they are on the phone together....anyone?)

Cutting Board // Project

Cutting Board // Project

We are CONSTANTLY doing projects and creating things for our home so I thought it was time to share one of those projects!  It's taken me this long because I wanted any home tutorial I shared here not only to be tried, tested, and true but also beautiful, functional, really well thought out and quality made.  I've had this project in mind for quite sometime.  It's pretty simple, and checks all the required boxes.  We ended up with a cutting/serving/charcuterie board that I will proudly use and display in our kitchen.  This would also make for a really beautiful gift if you don't have a need for another cutting board (although I'm honestly not sure who doesn't need another serving board).
